Destructiveness in dogs!
This is another good thing to bring up really, I know my mom had a dog who was a horrible dog and we dig a few tricks and wow, amazing difference hehe,
See there are dogs who do things to test I think, they are purposely testing limits and seeing what they can do, and well in the middle breaking things and damaging things what a fricken nightmare, and most would say Oh its only with the hyper breed, that is not true all breeds do it until they are taught not to !
They chew for fun, they chew for stimulation and exercise, and they chew to relieve anxiety, well we need to nip things here, always give them something to chew on, new chew toys is great, they always have something they know is theirs, I will tell, put a tennis ball, inside of a Long old sock, and tie a few knots in it, not only will give them something to chew on, but you will also have a toy to play tug o war with them with, and really socks with knots cheap and perfect for them and puppies oh my! the best ever. Just trade toys ever other day and give them something new so they are not bored they are like us in many ways and get bored easily really. Your not bored reading this are you?
I will tell you the best thing, if you have a doggy who jumps on the counter to take things off, hehe we use to use double sided tape and line the counters with them, and they hated that and it often makes them stop after a few times and dogs hate when they have loud things hit the floor, so maybe put a cookie sheet on the end of the counters, and then you can also have things up there they would take, well put spicey hot things on it you know they will hate, tobasco sauce, or something and oh yea they will learn and stop
Anyone have other suggestions?
