You have a Digging Dog?

Published by mistressvampyr at 12:31 pm under pets Edit This

Honestly 1 of many annoying things with dogs, is the fricken digging, OMG that drives me nuts! Honestly they will not do it if they are tought not to, I have learned animals do things depending on the owner if you dont tell them no, they will do it, but DONT abuse them my goodness!

I did some research and I never thought of this really, I thought dogs dug to be a pain and want out, or to dig and hide something, well,  some dogs it for logical reasons.

If you have a heavy fur breed, and they dig, it was saying they are doing it due to being hot and its for a cooling area, and it was suggested for you to bring in a kiddie pool for them to relax in, or a tent something to keep them cool in the heat so they dont dig it. interesting,

THe biggest thing though was all about dogs doing it if they are not fixed to go and get some lol, well hello fix your doggies get them neutered and problem should be solved

Now heres this here too. If your dog digs because he’s bored or lonely isolated in the backyard, train him to behave when home alone, and keep him indoors. When you do give him backyard access, go out with him and throw a ball, toss a Frisbee, or practice obedience commands. Hide biscuits around the yard and encourage him to track them down. Go for a walk together. Invite neighborhood dogs over for a play date. When a dog is kept busy and mentally stimulated, he’s less apt to dig. Thanks to aspca for this info here

Very good thing to know I think. Just pay attention, I honestly think you should NOT have animals if you cant baby them and pay attention to them, they are like your kids, they can not be left alone,.
