Tips on Scratching for cats

Published by mistressvampyr at 7:44 pm under pets Edit This

I hear all the time about people complaining about the cats and scratching you know they do it for many reasons really: They scratch to mark their territory. They scratch as a means of threatening other cats. They scratch in play. They scratch while stretching.
AS we all know when they scratch it sharpens those babies and there are some who dont cut their cats nails and can you imagine the feel of those cutting you ? hell no haha

You Must cut their nails regularly, this is so vital really, and if you are unsure there are special places to go to learn if you need I will mention to ya, but never go too far, only the tip, you could really hurt them if you do too much and thats a no no!

I tell you cats just love carpet so if you are handy and you have some wood and left over carpet make something unique for them, its easy and its cheaper really then buying something, and they will most likely like it better, then again you have to put cat nip on it and they will like it or anything haha, the more scratching posts you have the less change they will scratch on things you dont want them to.

I would also like to add the best Cat Nip I have ever came across was Kongs. It has a nice smell and it is all natural too which I find very important really, and well you can get it and the cats rub them selfs all over it and will go nuts, so get some Kong kind, typically you can get it with the scratching boxes and those are so well liked. DO NOT get the ones that say a corner one, they are not what you think, they are a normal sided and its cut in the middle a bit of a waste of money, get the double as you can flip ot over later.

Also wanted to mention they say these have caps out now, but I would not suggest them, sure they are nice to have a month on, but, the cats are going to bite at them all the time, and who knows what they are made of, and could damage your babies, they are stuck on with a glue I mean come on how unnatural,  either clip them, or declaw them.

I will have more laters :D
